1. Why is it important?:It causes emotional and physical abuse towards which can become a precursor to abuse and violence towards humans of domestic violence.
2. Why has this problem been ignored?:The reason why this situation has been avoided is simply because people don't really care about this problem. Some people believe that the victims are "just animals" and mainly put their focus onto other society problems regarding mental health, political issues, and economic growth.
3. Why is this currently happening?:
